Different Ideas about curriculum and an insight into the vels levels.
9-11 am: 1st session. Tree planting/worm farm/mini greenhouses/time capsule.
11-11.30am: Recess.
11.30-1 pm: 2nd session. Cooking- Healthy pancakes on the BBQ/fruit smoothies/freshly squeezed juices.
1-2 pm: Lunch.
2-3.10 pm: 3rd session. Games- Minor games. 2 x groups of 20. (Corner kick ball/Rapid fire/Pony express). Donate to the teachers a copy of the green minor games booklet that Gary Crouch made up.
3.10-3.20 pm: House keeping issues. Bring students together as a whole group and wrap up the days session with a discussion about the day.
3.20 pm: School Ends.
Pre- activity: Students are to complete either a question sheet made up by our group, or a mini research task where they research information on their favourite sport and then present that information on the activity day. (Not yet confirmed). Students will also be asked to wear their favourite sporting teams clothes to school for the activity day.
Post- activity: Suggestions for follow up activities are yet to be decided but may include:
- activities involving plant maintenance: planting, pruning and watering fruit trees.
- recipes for cooking a variety of different healthy foods.
- proposed research topics concerned with healthy eating and exercise.
